AI Engineer

Role: Lead AI engineer responsible for defining and implementing the architecture, deployment, and operational standards for enterprise AI and data platforms within Moderna's supply chain and digital operations. Responsibilities: design end-to-end cloud deployment strategies, develop critical software components and APIs, establish AI/ML Ops practices, and partner with cross-functional teams to integrate enterprise data sources, ensuring solutions meet security, GxP, and compliance standards. Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master’s in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related; 4+ years in software/Data/AI engineering, with 2+ years delivering production ML or GenAI systems; proficiency in Python, SQL, and at least one other language (e.g., Java, Scala); frontend skills in TypeScript/JavaScript, experience with APIs, model deployment, and AI system architecture, including LLM/GenAI, embeddings, and vector search; knowledge of GxP/regulatory environments. Preferred: experience in life sciences, pharma manufacturing, supply chain data, SAP integration, and mentoring engineering teams.
