Role Summary
Seeking an accomplished scientific leader to advance AI-enabled cardiovascular innovation within ATTR-CM. The AI Innovation Medical Director will lead the development and external communication of high-impact clinical and real-world evidence demonstrating how artificial intelligence enhances diagnosis, disease characterization, monitoring, and clinical decision-making. This externally facing role sits at the intersection of cardiovascular medicine, rare disease science, and AI-driven analytics, with a near-term focus on post-launch evidence generation to support clinical adoption and value recognition of novel AI-enabled solutions. The role is remote in the United States, with quarterly visits to the San Francisco office as needed.
Responsibilities
- Design and lead evidence generation strategies evaluating AI-based tools and analytics that enhance cardiovascular care in ATTR-CM.
- Generate clinical and real-world evidence demonstrating the impact of AI on earlier diagnosis, disease characterization, risk stratification, and patient outcomes in small and heterogeneous populations.
- Serve as an AI scientific ambassador for the company, engaging with cardiologists, rare disease specialists, health systems, regulators, and payers.
- Lead dissemination of evidence through peer-reviewed publications, scientific congresses, advisory boards, and external collaborations.
- Build and maintain partnerships with academic investigators, consortia, and technology collaborators focused on AI and rare cardiovascular disease.
- Shape the external narrative on the responsible and clinically meaningful use of AI in rare disease cardiovascular care.
Qualifications
- Advanced degree (MD, PhD, PharmD, MPH, MS, or equivalent) in Cardiovascular Medicine, Epidemiology, Biostatistics, Biomedical Informatics, Data Science, or a related discipline.
- 5+ years of experience in evidence generation, Medical Affairs, or clinical research within rare disease biotech, cardiovascular medicine, digital health, or AI-enabled healthcare.
- Demonstrated experience designing and executing clinical or real-world studies involving advanced analytics, AI, or data-driven decision support.
- Strong publication and presentation record with experience communicating complex scientific concepts to external stakeholders.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to translate innovation into clinically credible and externally compelling evidence narratives.
