Summary/Job Purpose
Engineer I β AI and Agentic supports AI initiatives by prototyping, building, and deploying agent-based applications to accelerate enterprise IT and business workflows.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities
- Build pilot AI applications and agentic workflows under senior direction; translate ideas into working prototypes.
- Prototype rapidly, then evolve to maintainable code via specs, structured prompts, tests, modular design, and error handling.
- Develop agents that automate multi-step IT/business tasks by connecting LLMs, prompts, tools, and APIs.
- Use coding agents and developer tools (e.g., Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Codex).
- Execute CI/CD tasks for automated testing, build validation gates, and artifact versioning.
- Write documentation/runbooks (architecture notes, setup, operational SOPs, end-user guidance).
- Participate in prompt/spec reviews, code reviews, and pre-release testing/validation.
- Apply secure-by-design and responsible AI (data handling, privacy, safe prompting).

- None.
Education/Experience
- BS in CS/AI/Data Science/Software Engineering (or related) + 3 years; or MS + 1 year; or equivalent.
- Up to 2 years relevant experience in AI/automation, including hands-on work with LLM-enabled apps, agentic workflows, and API integrations.
Required Skills/Abilities
- Exposure to LLMs, prompt engineering, agent frameworks; agentic concepts (tool use, loops, guardrails, prompt/context/version management).
- Familiarity with unit/integration testing, linting, and CI pipelines.
- Communication skills; security/privacy/compliance attention.
- Familiarity with REST APIs, Git, and software fundamentals.
Preferred Skills
- Exposure to AWS Cloud/AWS Bedrock/Databricks Mosaic AI (or comparable).
- Exposure to Claude Code/Codex/GitHub Copilot (or equivalent coding agents).
- Proficiency in Python and/or JavaScript/TypeScript.
