Job Title: Research Advisor/Sr. Advisor – AI for Science (ADMET Intelligence)
Position Summary
- Research Advisor to reimagine the next generation of drug discovery. Work at the intersection of AI/ML, Chemistry, and Biology; pioneer state-of-the-art technologies that change how biology is understood and how chemical space is navigated. Geography is flexible.
What You Will Do
- Drive drug discovery programs by developing and applying innovative AI/ML models.
- Collaborate with experimental scientists to connect computational predictions with lab experiments; support hypothesis testing and iterate between modeling and experimental results.
- Lead development of scientific foundation models integrating molecular design and biological data to support decision-making across the drug discovery pipeline.
- Publish findings in top-tier venues and represent Lilly within the global AI4Science community.
- Work with MLOps and Data Engineering partners to transition research prototypes into scalable tools and provide guidelines for reusable, reliable AI/ML solutions.
Minimum Qualifications
- PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Statistics, Computational Chemistry, Computational Biology, Physics, or a Scientific field.
- First-author publications in high-impact journals or top-tier ML conferences.
- Experience with modern AI/ML frameworks and architectures relevant to molecular data (e.g., GNNs, Transformers).
Preferred Qualifications
- Translate chemistry and biology problems into machine learning formulations.
- Collaborate with lab scientists to develop AI/ML solutions that drive next-cycle experimentation and model refinement.
Benefits (as stated)
- Anticipated wage: $151,500 - $244,200.
- Company bonus for full-time equivalent employees (depending on company and individual performance).
