Position Summary
- Provide strategic insight/leadership into health outcomes (HO) evidence needs for Lillyβs portfolio (e.g., health economics, patient reported outcomes, real-world evidence, access and reimbursement).
- Own and execute HO research projects; may develop product value propositions, patient-reported outcomes strategies, real-world evidence generation, and differentiation strategies.
Responsibilities
Strategy
- Drive sustained integration of HEOR from early clinical development through commercialization.
- Develop/oversee HO research strategy for compounds in relevant therapeutic areas.
- Serve as an HEOR strategic partner on lead/core teams throughout development and/or commercialization.
- Formulate and drive PFO, Real World Evidence, and/or economic value strategies for priority products and geographies.
- Establish consistent yet agile HEOR standards across the oncology portfolio.
Study Development and Execution
- Develop high-impact science to influence evidence needs across the product lifecycle to improve patient outcomes.
- Apply technical expertise (statistical analysis, economic modeling, clinical trials, PFO development, observational/epidemiologic research, health technology/value assessment) within a therapeutic area.
- Apply disease-state knowledge to solve HO issues related to registration, pricing, reimbursement, and access.
Leadership and Influence
- Communicate technical expertise with business acumen.
- Lead HO evidence planning/implementation with cross-functional teams.
- Influence partners on HEOR prioritization, trade-offs, and recommendations.
- Triages partner requests with prioritization and timeliness.
Information Dissemination
- Communicate HO information to internal partners, scientific community, and customers.
- Lead dissemination (abstracts, posters, podium presentations, promotional materials, manuscripts) and drive application of results/deliverables.
Environmental Awareness
- Maintain awareness of disease-state developments and HO methodologies.
- Anticipate HO market needs/trends and plan HEOR capacity for the expanding oncology pipeline.
- Monitor/internalize environmental factors affecting HO research generation and use.
Project Management
- Ensure HO projects meet timelines, budget, and scope with cross-functional partners and external collaborators.
Basic Requirements
- Doctorate (PhD, MD) with 3β5 years OR PharmD/MS with 3β5 years delivering outcomes strategies/projects.
Additional Preferences (Preferred Skills)
- Ability to translate/disseminate complex scientific information clearly and concisely.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Demonstrated influence/collaboration across teams.
- Demonstrated experience leading HEOR strategy across a portfolio or therapeutic area.
- Ability to drive research agendas to completion and dissemination.
- Global thinking with customer focus and solution orientation.
Additional Information
- Travel: 10β25% domestic and international.
- Full-time.
