Advanced Research Associate (GMP Process Development)

Position Summary
- Participate in the development, optimization, and technology transfer of protein purification procedures for recombinant proteins expressed in E. coli cell lines to the GMP production facility.
- Develop procedures and processes in the feasibility stages of the development cycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Support development of Bio-Techne reagents and consumables.
- Set up and conduct experiments for new product development.
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Document results and prepare reports summarizing data.
- Transfer and scale developed procedures.
- Write protocols for purification of recombinant proteins.
- Collaborate with other departments/labs as needed.
- Comply with company safety, quality, and training procedures and regulations.
- Assist with writing Design Control documents within the Quality Management System.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Education & Experience
- Bachelorβs degree in Biological Sciences (or equivalent) required with 2β4 years of laboratory experience.
- Experience with Akta chromatography systems (preferred).
- Experience with tangential flow filtration systems (preferred).
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Knowledge of laboratory equipment (e.g., pipettes, centrifuge, computers).
- Ability to handle complex and repetitive tasks.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (emphasis on Excel).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities and deadlines.
- Ability to plan, organize, and multi-task.
- Attention to detail and high accuracy.
- Professional communication (oral and written).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Compensation
- Eligible for a target annual cash bonus based on individual and company performance (per company policy).
