Role Summary
Advanced Manufacturing Technician responsible for formulating buffers, diluents, and components for immunoassay products; involves data recording, operating equipment, product formulation, plate coating, and collaboration across groups. Ability to work independently and as part of a team; ability to lift or move more than 50 lbs.
Responsibilities
- Set up and formulate buffers, diluents and other products of low up to moderate complexity
- Complete data analysis of low to moderate complexity
- Make non-critical decisions based on data or results of work
- Demonstrates EPIC values in daily work
- Communicate effectively across groups and sites
- Laboratory maintenance: actively participate in lab cleaning, ensure proper function of equipment, work with facilities or service providers
- Knowledge of multiple processes or products
- Update or improve SOPs including revising, clarifying, and formatting
- Work independently with minimal supervision on moderately complex tasks
- Prioritize own work to meet deadlines and complete multiple tasks effectively and efficiently
- Propose and implement process improvements
- Ability to be analytical and predictive on processes based on experience
- Demonstrates good to strong technical knowledge
- Troubleshoots issues arising in daily work based on prior experience
- Research historic batch records of a product and suggest adjustments to the parameters of their work within SOP guidelines
- Consistently demonstrate meeting quality requirements in daily work
- Utilizes relevant internal databases effectively
- Executes weekly schedule with minimal direct supervision
- Receives detailed instructions on new tasks
- Majority of time spent working independently
- Collaborates on projects of low to moderate complexity
- Participates in training employees
Qualifications
- 4 year science degree with a minimum of 1+ years relevant experience
- High school and associates degree with minimum of 3+ years of relevant experience
