Key Responsibilities:
- Support patient access for aligned therapeutic area products by proactively providing in-person (or virtual as needed) education to providers and staff to integrate programs into office workflows.
- Work with office stakeholders (executives, providers, administrators, billing/coding, claims departments, revenue cycle managers) to support patient access.
- Analyze access and reimbursement problems; provide reimbursement support to third-party payers at the provider level; address account reimbursement issues as needed.
- Support pull-through of local coverage decisions; proactively communicate policy changes or issues impacting other departments.
- Maintain expertise in regional/local access landscape and act as reimbursement expert as needed.
- Interface with the Patient Support Center (hub) and Access & Reimbursement Managers on patient case management (tracking, issue resolution, reimbursement support, and staff education).
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal associates to share account insights and barriers related to access/reimbursement.
- Educate HCPs on approved acquisition pathways, including buy-and-bill end-to-end processes and facility pull-through in complex accounts (centralized/decentralized acquisition; white bagging/clear bagging/brown bagging; alternate site of care).

Buy and Bill Specific:
- Assess access situation and develop/communicate a Plan of Action (POA).
- Educate stakeholders on ordering, payment, inventory, and product returns/replacement logistics.
- Engage non-prescribers (pharmacy, system leadership, financial counselors, administrators, revenue cycle managers).

Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree required; business/biological science preferred; advanced degree preferred.
- 5+ years in pharmaceuticals/biotech with focus in Patient Services/Market Access/Sales/account management; 2 years in a Patient Services practice support role for specialty products.
- Experience with highly complex practices/health systems to establish access/acquisition pathways.
- Strategic, proactive account management experience.
- Deep expertise integrating manufacturer-sponsored patient support programs.
- Experience with specialty products via Specialty Pharmacy networks.
- Knowledge of reimbursement pathways (specialty pharmacy, buy-and-bill, retail).
- Reside within territory (or within 60 miles of territory border).
- Travel 60–80%; drive and/or fly within territory; valid driver’s license.
