Responsibilities:
- Design, deploy, and maintain Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure AD) solutions, including conditional access policies, application integrations, MFA, SSO, and Zero Trust.
- Design and manage custom roles and RBAC in Entra ID for granular access management across hybrid and multi-cloud environments.
- Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts to automate identity management tasks and improve operational efficiency.
- Align Entra ID and hybrid identity controls with security best practices through configuration hardening, policy tuning, and operational guardrails (e.g., Zero Trust patterns, privileged access controls).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate enterprise applications and cloud platforms with Directory and Authentication Services.
- Troubleshoot and perform root cause analysis for complex Entra ID and Active Directory authentication/authorization issues.
- Administer and support certificate lifecycle management and authentication infrastructure (AD CS, SCEP/NDES; endpoint credential/password tools such as SpecOps and LastPass).
- Stay current with IAM/AD/Azure industry trends and emerging technologies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree + 5 years’ experience OR Master’s degree + 4 years’ experience.
- Demonstrated experience focused on Entra ID/Azure AD and Active Directory.
- Advanced proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation and identity system management.
- Hands-on experience with Active Directory, Entra ID (conditional access, MFA, SSO, Entra ID Connect).
- Experience supporting certificate/authentication services, including AD CS.
- Problem-solving skills in a fast-paced, global environment.
- Strong collaboration across engineering, security, and operations teams.
- Knowledge of securing identity platforms and hybrid directory environments (threat modeling and control design).
- Strong communication skills to document designs and drive implementation plans.
Preferred:
- 5+ years focused on Entra ID/Azure AD and Active Directory.
- Relevant Microsoft certifications.
- Experience supporting large-scale environments (10,000+; 80,000+ preferred).
- Familiarity with AWS or Google Cloud for hybrid identity solutions.
- Knowledge of security best practices/compliance frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).
- AD experience (GPOs, provisioning, directory sync, Certificate Services) and PKI/certificate administration (AD CS, SCEP/NDES).
