Account Manager / Specialty Account Manager - Rheumatology
Responsibilities:
- Represent KRYSTEXXA to physicians/healthcare professionals; establish product sales and manage total territory accounts.
- Create territory business plan to achieve/exceed annual sales goals.
- Promote KRYSTEXXA within approved labeling in a fair/ethical manner per industry/corporate legal/regulatory guidelines.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to address access, pull-through, and reimbursement.
- Build customer relationships; communicate customer needs to internal teams.
- Meet/exceed corporate sales goals; report territory activity accurately/timely.
- Drive product demand via disease-state and product education.
- Provide feedback to leadership and internal departments on results and market changes.
- Work with patient services and market access; coordinate between accounts and Amgen field teams.
- Educate HCPs and office staff on site-of-care options; attend medical congresses/society meetings as needed.
- Manage efforts within promotional/operational budget; maximize use of approved resources.
- Complete all required company training; perform administrative duties; contribute to high-performance team; other assigned tasks.
Basic Qualifications:
Account Manager (Level 4): Bachelor’s + 3 yrs sales OR Associate + 6 yrs OR HS/GED + 8 yrs (pharma/biotech/med device or hospital sales).
Specialty Account Manager (Level 5): Doctorate + 2 yrs collective account mgmt/sales/commercial OR Master’s + 6 yrs OR Bachelor’s + 8 yrs OR Associate + 10 yrs.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Rheumatology/nephrology/rare or specialty disease sales experience; site of care & reimbursement; institutions/IDNs.
- Pharma account management with ability to coordinate across field teams; ~50% travel (varies).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication.
