Role Summary
Account Manager/Specialty Account Manager - IgG4 - Denver, Colorado (Rare Disease) β Represent UPLIZNA to physicians and health care professionals, establish product sales, and perform total territory account management within a designated geography.
Responsibilities
- Develops a comprehensive territory business plan aimed at achieving and exceeding annual sales goals.
- Promotes UPLIZNA within approved labeling in a comprehensive, fair and ethical manner following guidelines.
- Addresses access, pull-through, and reimbursement by coordinating with key stakeholders and matrix team members.
- Builds strong customer relationships by understanding customer needs and communicating them to the team.
- Meets or exceeds corporate sales goals; communicates territory activity accurately and timely.
- Drives product demand through education on disease state and product information.
- Provides feedback to sales and leadership about changing environment and results.
- Adheres to compliance policies and guidelines (e.g., PhRMA code).
- Collaborates with patient services and market access teams to achieve business goals; coordinates between accounts and field teams to support needs.
- Educates healthcare professionals and office staff on site of care options.
- Attends medical congresses and society meetings as needed.
- Manages promotional and operational budget; maximizes use of approved resources to achieve goals.
- Completes all company training and administrative duties accurately and timely; contributes as a high-performance team member.
Qualifications
- Basic Qualifications (Account Manager β Level 4): Bachelor's Degree and 3 years of sales experience in pharmaceutical/biotech/medical device or hospital sales; OR Associate degree with 6 years of such experience; OR High school diploma/GED with 8 years of such experience.
- Basic Qualifications (Specialty Account Manager β Level 5): Doctorate + 2 years of account management/sales; OR Masterβs + 6 years; OR Bachelorβs + 8 years; OR Associate + 10 years of account management experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with reimbursement navigation, site-of-care education, and patient access coordination.
- Experience promoting products requiring coordination with office staff, infusion centers, and patient services.
- Strong ability to build customer relationships, educate on complex disease states, and adapt to diverse audiences.
- Buy-and-bill or biologic/infusion experience preferred.
- Experience in Rheumatology, Gastroenterology, Nephrology, Hematology, Neurology, or rare/specialty disease states.
- Site-of-care and reimbursement experience; experience with institutions and integrated delivery networks.
- Pharma account management selling experience; ability to coordinate across field teams.
- Approximately 80% travel (may vary by territory), including overnight and weekend commitments.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; professional, proactive demeanor; strong interpersonal and communication skills.
