Summary
The Account Manager is responsible for positioning and selling the Pacira portfolio within the assigned territory, developing business plans with the Regional Director, and executing strategy to meet/exceed sales objectives.
Responsibilities (Essential Duties)
- Identify target markets using account-based operations, reporting, tools, and dashboards.
- Ensure corporate revenue objectives are exceeded in assigned geography.
- Work with surgeons, anesthesiologists, healthcare providers, and pharmacy to drive adoption of Pacira products.
- Develop and maintain expertise on all products.
- Execute sales/retention strategies; conduct face-to-face meetings to close business and minimize obstacles.
- Manage territory and conduct office visits (education, enhancements, new advances).
- Update and document accounts in Veeva.
- Communicate opportunities, market trends, and issues to management.
- Demonstrate conversion process knowledge (hospital/ASC/office); interpret and discuss clinical data with health professionals.
- Manage expense budgets.
Qualifications
- Bachelorโs degree (required).
- 1+ year direct selling to hospitals/healthcare professionals in pharma/biotech/device/health care (required).
- 1+ year selling in the OR (preferred).
Skills/Abilities (Required/Preferred)
- Excellent written/oral communication; strong presentation skills.
- Timely completion of hospital credentialing.
- CRM experience required.
- Extensive travel; valid driverโs license; reliable transportation; live near territory.
- Strong interpersonal/collaboration/analytical skills; customer focus.
- Skills in account management, needs assessment, value propositioning, objection handling, and securing agreement with physicians and procurement.
- Proficient in MS Office and relevant mobile/web applications.
