Summary
The Account Manager is responsible for positioning and selling the Pacira portfolio within the assigned territory. Works with the Regional Director to develop a business plan to exceed defined sales revenues. Utilizes product knowledge, institutional/office relationships, and business acumen to meet and exceed sales objectives.
Responsibilities
- Identify target markets using account-based operations and reporting tools/dashboards.
- Ensure corporate revenue objectives are exceeded within a specified geography.
- Work with surgeons, anesthesiologists, health care providers, and pharmacy focused on pain management to drive adoption of the product portfolio.
- Develop and maintain expertise of all products.
- Use effective time management to increase sales productivity and implement sales activities.
- Participate with the Region Director in strategic and tactical planning.
- Update and document sales account information via Veeva.
- Demonstrate expertise in the hospital/ASC/office conversion process.
- Develop and execute sales and retention strategies.
- Conduct face-to-face meetings to close business, identify and minimize obstacles.
- Manage territory with office visits, education, and updates on services/advances.
- Communicate opportunities, market trends, and issues to leadership timely.
- Manage expense budgets.
- Interpret and discuss clinical data with health professionals.
Qualifications
- Bachelorβs degree required.
- 1+ year of direct selling experience to hospitals/healthcare professionals in pharma/biotech/device/health care industry.
- 1+ year OR sales experience preferred.
Skills/Abilities
- Excellent written/oral English communication; strong presentation skills.
- Ability to complete hospital credentialing requirements.
- Experience using CRM tools.
- Travel extensively; valid driverβs license and reliable transportation.
- Live in or close proximity to designated territory.
- Knowledge of business drivers, medical trends, and performance metrics.
- Strong interpersonal/collaborative/analytical skills; customer focus.
- Competent in account management, needs assessment, value propositioning, and handling objections.
- Proficient with MS Office and relevant mobile/web technologies.

Base Pay Range
$112,000β$130,000 per year (plus potential incentive/bonuses depending on position).
