Position Summary
We are seeking an Account Manager, US Petcare Division. Utilize solution selling, territory management, and business planning to maximize sales performance within the assigned geography. Field-based role requiring travel and some evening work for educational programs. Candidates must live inside the territory lines and make face-to-face customer calls every day.
Position Responsibilities
Sales Performance
- Meet overall sales objectives (quota), including for key growth products, via demand generation in targeted geography.
- Launch new products and service offerings; generate new equipment leads.
Selling Skills, Technical Knowledge, and Customer Value Delivery
- Consistently demonstrate solution selling.
- Build and demonstrate relevant technical knowledge, verbal fluency, and veterinary practice expertise.
- Build effective relationships with and service targeted hospitals/personnel to maintain and grow relevance and access within each account.
- Interact with customers following Zoetis promotional guidelines.
Territory Management and Teamwork
- Develop and execute a Territory Business Plan/Resource Allocation; implement Zoetis resources to maximize ROI.
- Meet field activity expectations, including sales call activity and investment in medical education programs.
- Develop and execute an account/veterinarian call-cycle meeting reach/frequency expectations.
- Work professionally with Zoetis Petcare colleagues, meeting integrity/compliance, work-ethic, role/responsibility, conduct/attire, communication, administrative responsibilities, and teamwork expectations.
Education and Experience
- Undergraduate degree (BS/BA) required.
- 3β10 years of documented successful consultative sales experience.
- Demonstrated ability to use analytics/insights, manage expense budgets, and work independently as a self-starter.
- Animal health experience and knowledge of small animal veterinary medicine.
Technical Skills Requirements
- Strong verbal, written, presentation, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and ability to learn Zoetis systems.
Physical Position Requirements
- Ability and willingness to travel and work some evenings as required.
