Position Summary
We are seeking a highly capable individual for Account Manager, US Petcare Division. Primary responsibilities include utilizing solution selling, territory management, and business planning capabilities to execute strategies to maximize sales performance within the assigned geography. Field based; requires travel and some evening work for educational programs. Candidate should live within the territory.
Position Responsibilities
Sales Performance
- Meet overall sales objectives (quota) and key growth products via demand generation in targeted geography.
- Launch new products/service offerings and generate new equipment leads.
Selling Skills, Technical Knowledge, and Customer Value Delivery
- Consistently demonstrate Solution Selling capabilities.
- Build and demonstrate technical knowledge, verbal fluency, and veterinary practice expertise.
- Build effective relationships with and service targeted hospitals/personnel to maintain and grow relevance/access.
- Interact with customers following Zoetis promotional guidelines.
Territory Management and Teamwork
- Develop and execute a Territory Business Plan/Resource Allocation; implement Zoetis resources and follow up to maximize ROI.
- Meet field activity expectations (sales call activity) and invest in medical education programs.
- Develop and execute a call-cycle at the account and veterinarian level.
- Work professionally with Zoetis Petcare colleagues and meet expectations around integrity/compliance, work-ethic, role/responsibility, conduct/attire, communication, administrative responsibilities, and teamwork.
Education and Experience
- BS/BA required.
- 3β10 years of successful consultative sales experience.
- Animal Health experience; knowledge of small animal veterinary medicine.
Technical Skills Requirements
- Verbal, written, presentation, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Good judgment; make thoughtful/fair decisions.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and ability to learn Zoetis systems.
Physical Position Requirements
- Ability and willingness to travel and work some evenings.
Compensation/Benefits
- US base salary range: $69,360β$139,265.
