PD Account Executive (Field-based; reside within commutable distance of the posted city).
Responsibilities:
- Maximize business opportunities for approved on-market Parkinson’s drug/device combination products.
- Develop/maintain strategic, compliant relationships with Movement Disorder Specialists, neurologists, APPs, HCPs, nurses, and other stakeholders; identify opportunities to educate on benefits/risks, therapeutic gaps (on-label), expand/new business, and achieve the sales plan.
- Serve as lead US Commercial contact for targeted accounts in assigned geography; address patient/customer needs using the environment-of-care approach.
- Create and execute strategic/tactical account plans; monitor/report sales progress; provide internal/external communications as applicable.
- Attend local neurology meetings, conferences, patient programs, support/advocacy events (evenings/weekends as needed); represent AbbVie and products in accordance with OEC/Legal guidance.
- Build/maintain compliant partnerships with Parkinson’s advocacy and support groups.
- Stay current on clinical, market, and payer developments/trends/issues in Parkinson’s.
- Complete required training and adhere to company policies and OEC/Legal procedures.
- Meet HCIR credentialing requirements for facility entry (may include background checks, drug screens, immunization proof; plus fingerprinting/licenses as required).
- Represent Parkinson’s/Neuroscience as a partner of choice with HCPs and patient organizations.
- Drive personal/company vehicle or powered material handling equipment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (health sciences/pharmacy/business) preferred; otherwise equivalent experience. Minimum 2 years sales/account management.
- 3+ years health science field or sales with at least 2 years pharmaceutical sales; or 8+ years health science sales with at least 4 years pharmaceutical sales.
- Strong networking/partnering, organizational/project management, leadership, and stakeholder management.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5+ years account management in Parkinson’s/Neuroscience/Specialty pharma.
- Specialty pharmacy and/or medical device/pump delivery sales experience.
- Leadership/training/marketing background; pharmaceutical launch experience.
- Advocacy/support group education experience; top performer in challenging markets.
