Field-based Account Management (Grade 18/19)

Perform all aspects of account management, including developing and maintaining strategic business relationships with corporate/senior management staff in key accounts to increase representative access, develop new business, maximize resource utilization, and increase sales and market share of the assigned product.

Responsibilities
- Work with Federal Account Executive teams to manage and identify key target account opportunities within the VA; develop product strategies to penetrate accounts.
- Provide strategic and tactical direction regarding target accounts to regional and district teams within AbbVie’s Psychiatry Retail Franchise.
- Advise sales and marketing management on challenges and opportunities in key target accounts; analyze and support channel-specific training needs.
- Develop an annual business plan to increase sales volume and market share in target accounts across all FDA-approved indications.
- Identify local opportunities/threats and develop/modify business plans; anticipate change and act proactively.
- Use financial and quantitative data/analyses to assess business impact, including profitability and sales.
- Partner with Field Sales Managers to evaluate and penetrate non-retail account drivers within MSAs.
- Drive target account volume/share growth through detailed analysis and recommendations; drive execution and pull-through of District Managers and representatives.
- Call points include: the VA; In-Patient Community Mental Health Centers; hospitals.
- Drive a personal auto/company vehicle or powered material handling equipment.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in health/sciences/pharmacy/business preferred; or relevant equivalent industry experience required.
- 3+ years health science field or sales (minimum 2 years pharmaceutical sales); or 8+ years health science sales (minimum 4 years pharmaceutical sales in lieu of degree).
- Demonstrated networking and partnering across functional areas.
- Excellent organizational/project management and leadership.
- Proven record managing multiple stakeholders in complex environments.
- Satisfy all applicable HCIR credentialing requirements to enter assigned facilities (may include background checks, drug screens, immunization proof, fingerprinting, and state/city licenses).
