Position Summary:
- Lead and coach a team of Access & Reimbursement Managers (ARMs) for nephrology healthcare provider access & fulfillment and execution of the patient access field reimbursement strategy.
- Ensure healthcare providers, patients, and caregivers have the information, tools, and resources to start and stay on therapy.
- Foster compliant communications across Patient Experience, Specialty Pharmacy, Market Access, and Field Sales.

Responsibilities:
- Hire, mentor, develop, and lead the field access/reimbursement team in local geography.
- Use KPIs/analytics to optimize field execution and manage long/short-term strategic planning.
- Build regional vision and culture; motivate performance and achieve team goals.
- Deliver performance management, coaching, and oversight to ensure regulatory and internal policy compliance.
- Coach expediting patient access; address access & fulfillment obstacles (pharmacy benefits, specialty pharmacy, REMS).
- Develop regional access & reimbursement business plan and serve as access/reimbursement product expert.
- Ensure cross-functional collaboration and create a communication cadence across ARMs, hub services, REMS, specialty pharmacy, and payer teams.
- Spend time in field and on virtual calls to resolve issues and provide feedback.
- Build relationships with key accounts; train on coverage changes and payer criteria.
- Analyze regional performance and close ARM capability gaps.

Qualifications (Required/Preferred):
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent education/experience).
- 10 years pharma/biotech (specialty pharmaceutical, nephrology, rare disease, REMS preferred).
- 5+ years specialty medicines with deep access & reimbursement landscape knowledge.
- 3+ years field reimbursement manager; 3+ years first-line team leader with demonstrated coaching/people development.

Additional Skills:
- Knowledge of commercial/private reimbursement and government payers (e.g., Medicare Part D, VA).
- Reimbursement process expertise (benefit verification, prior auth, appeals, denials, letters of medical necessity).
- Strong Excel/PowerPoint; ability to resolve issues virtually; strong communication and relationship-building.
- Field-based: live in/adjacent to region with major airport; valid driver’s license; reliable vehicle; travel up to 50%.

Compensation:
- Target base pay range: $189,000.00–$246,000.00.
