Key Responsibilities:
- Interact within assigned accounts to support patient access for therapeutic area products through proactive face-to-face education on product-specific programs, integrating them into office processes and workflows.
- Analyze access and reimbursement problems and offer solutions related to payer policies (utilization management, denial, appeals), drug acquisition/inventory management, and patient/practice reimbursement (co-pay, administration, drug claims); identify local/regional/national trends to support patient pull-through.
- Interface with the Patient Support Center (hub) for patient case management: tracking cases, resolving issues, providing reimbursement support, and educating office staff; review patient-specific information when assistance is requested.
- Collaborate with aligned cross-functional associates to share customer needs and barriers related to access and reimbursement.
- Maintain understanding of company policies/requirements; perform responsibilities with integrity; handle Patient Identifiable Information (PII) in compliance with HIPAA and internal compliance guidelines.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelorโs degree required (Business and/or biological science preferred); advanced degree preferred.
- 3โ5+ yearsโ experience in third-party reimbursement or pharmaceutical industry (managed care, clinical support, or sales).
- Specialty pharmacy buy-and-bill experience.
- Coding, billing, and office support program experience.
- Prior account management/complex accounts experience (payer landscape, high patient volume, large systems).
- Knowledge of managed care, government/federal payer sectors, and IDNs/integrated health systems.
- Ability to work cross-functionally as a team player with sales and internal colleagues.
- Reside within territory or within 60 miles commuting distance; travel 60โ80% and drive/fly as needed; valid driverโs license.
Preferred Qualification:
- Experience in Buy and Bill environments supporting reimbursement and access for provider-administered therapies.
