3rd shift - Material Handler / Hilo Driver - Holland - $21.00/hr

Role Summary

Perrigo is hiring for Distribution positions—mainly roles that will be driving our Powered Industrial Equipment. The shifts for these positions vary, but will be one of the following: 2nd or 3rd. Responsibilities

• Reporting to the Distribution Supervisor, responsibilities primarily include receiving incoming product, picking customer orders and loading trucks for shipment to customers.
• Duties consist of driving Powered Industrial Equipment (forklifts, order pickers, dock trucks) and performing considerable physical activity (repetitive bending, lifting and twisting).

Qualifications

• Required: High School diploma (or GED) with excellent attendance/work history.
• Required: Must have a valid driver’s license or a minimum of 1 year of motorized forklift or HILO driving experience. Some other driving experience may be considered in lieu of a valid license.
• Required: Ability to work 40 hours per week with overtime when necessary; availability to train on other shifts.
• Required: Able to complete core skills within 1 month; basic computer skills; basic math and reading/comprehension.
• Required: Understands and values safety, teamwork, quality, and attention to detail in work.
• Required: Ability to follow directions and Perrigo’s standard operating procedures.
• Required: Must stand for the length of the shift (approximately 85% standing) with breaks every 2 hours.
• Required: Vision and hearing to understand signs, labels, and instructions; vision requirements aligned with a valid driver’s license.
• Required: If no valid driver’s license, must be evaluated for vision and other appropriate physical requirements; must have eye-hand-feet coordination.

Education

• High School diploma (or GED) required.

Additional Requirements

• Physical requirements: Stand, walk, lift up to 60 lbs, push/pull 60 lbs, stoop/bend, squat, twist, reach, grasp, move items/boxes, and handle materials; may require climbing stairs infrequently.
• Environmental: Exposure to loud noises/machinery.
• Other qualities: Vision, hearing, ability to read and write, interpret information, basic to intermediate math for pallet stacking and loading pallets; English literacy; problem-solving for stacking pallets and loading semitrailers; basic decision-making for safety inspections.
