Description Overview
We are looking for a Line Operator to join our 3rd shift team at our Perrigo facility in Bronx, New York.
Scope of the Role
- Check schedule for assigned shop orders; visually check equipment for cleanliness and complete cleaning forms.
- Check pallet I.D.; sign the Inventory Control logbook; instruct Inventory Control where to place pallets.
- Update the dry-erase board with shop order information; notify Supervisor to verify components.
- Check components against the Packaging Card; verify component checks by area supervisor and Q.A.
- Set up components for FIFO and stage them on the line.
- Request line supplies (paper towels, gloves, sleeves, pens, etc.) from line personnel.
- Check with mechanic if equipment is set up.
- Load tubes onto filling machine magazine; load boxes into boxer magazine (if reachable).
- Check lot numbers, expiration dates, and tube weights against the packaging card.
- Notify Q.A. for line release; document activity in Area/Equipment log book.
- Document entries on In-process Control Forms; keep lines/equipment clean and remove PM stickers.
- Secure documents/inserts/labels in appropriate cages during breaks.
- Maintain floors/area free of soiled materials and folding boxes.
- Request supply replenishment from inventory control and obtain Q.A. approval before use.
- Count and record units produced, including damages/destroys; document drum usage and component damages.
- Observe and record partial case component outcomes (destroy/return) on the Inventory Reconciliation form.
- Destroy components properly and complete IPC forms; notify supervisor of completed orders or line problems.
- Ensure equipment/work area/line is clear from previous components.
Experience Required
- Fluency in speaking, reading, and writing English.
- High School Diploma or GED.
