Description Overview
- Union position; Starting pay: $22.00/hour. 2nd shift (Mon–Fri, 2:00pm–10:30pm).
Responsibilities
- Lead and sustain a line by performing equipment change-over technical services and supportive line duties (Line Operator, Pump Operator, Line Personnel) as needed, following SOPs and cGMPs.
- Perform product/size/machine tooling changes; adjust machinery/equipment for efficient operation; resolve problems while product is running.
- Monitor equipment for optimal throughput; provide line personnel guidance.
- Disassemble/assemble filling/packaging equipment as needed.
- Set lot/batch numbers and expiration dates per customer order; keep tools/area organized, clean, and free of unnecessary parts.
- Clean equipment by dismantle/assemble per Equipment Cleaning SOP within required time (e.g., filling equipment, transfer pumps).
- Inform relevant maintenance/supervision of potential equipment issues/failures; coordinate routine maintenance/minor repairs.
Additional Responsibilities
- Work different schedules/extra hours as required.
- Read/write English; complete paperwork.
- Ensure components checked by Supervisor/QA before setup.
- Support/lead process improvement; document activities (Area/Equipment Log Book; In-process Control Form).
- Notify Supervisor/Master Mechanic/Set-up & Cleaner Coordinator when equipment is ready.
Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalency.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision; cooperative work conduct.
Preferred Equipment Knowledge
- Comadis tube fillers; Waukesha Pumps; HV/HMM CAM carton machines; Cozzoli Machines; Monoblock 1 & 2 filling lines; un-scrambler bottles; Graco Pumps; Campbell wrapper machines; Jones boxing equipment; SAAS 6/9/15; Unit Dose Filling lines; Filz Alls liquid filler equipment.
Physical Demands
- Stand/walk/sit/bend; lift/occasionally move up to 50 lbs; use hands/tools/controls; reach; talk/hear.
