Description Overview
- Maintain and troubleshoot mechanical aspects of manufacturing/packaging equipment and facilities per standard operating procedures.
- Complete work orders for skilled maintenance activities.
- Perform maintenance, repair, improvements, set-ups, troubleshooting, follow-up, Root Cause Analysis, Reliability Maintenance, and report to supervisor for packaging and compounding equipment.
- Handle special assignments/projects as needed; work rotational schedules and overtime as required; operate with little to general supervision and use independent judgment.
Scope of the Role
- Complete daily Maintenance Tracker and conduct walk-throughs of designated areas.
- Perform preventive maintenance for packaging, compounding, and warehouse equipment.
- Perform packaging/compounding equipment repairs (MTCE).
- Train production personnel on proper equipment use.
- Set up, fine-tune, and troubleshoot equipment using Root Cause Analysis methods.
Experience Required / Qualifications
- Five (5) years hands-on mechanical experience with packaging equipment in pharmaceutical, food, packaging, or similar manufacturing.
- Successful completion of an accredited certification program in mechanical engineering/mechanical design/troubleshooting (or similar).
OR
- Three (3) years as a Perrigo Set Up Tech plus at least two years completed education and active enrollment in a Mechanical/Industrial/Production/Electromechanical Engineering program at an accredited university/college.
