Role Summary

2026 Validation Engineering Co-Op (Jul - Dec) at AbbVie Bioresearch Center. Gain experience in a dynamic pharmaceutical environment within the QA Validation team, contributing to plant validation activities and cross-functional collaboration with engineering and QC.

Responsibilities

• Execute tasks to implement the Validation Master Plan
• Collaborate with external engineering and QC departments on new installations, system modifications, and decommissioning
• Draft and execute validation plans and validation protocols in accordance with cGMP practices
• Ensure investigations of validation failures are completed thoroughly and documented accurately

Qualifications

• Minimum Qualifications
  • Currently enrolled in university, pursuing a Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field
  • Must be enrolled in school during the Co-Op
  • Must commit to a 6-month program at AbbVie Bioresearch Center (ABC) in Worcester, MA (July - December)
  • Expected graduation date between December 2026 - June 2028
• Preferred Qualifications
  • Major in chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, biomedical engineering a plus
  • Organization, attention to detail, communication, self-starter, time management
  • Equipment-based or instrumentation/installation project exposure a plus
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
