2026 Validation Engineering Co-Op (Jan - Jun)

Role Summary

2026 Validation Engineering Co-Op (Jan - Jun) role supporting planning and execution of validation tasks within the QA Validation department, interacting with manufacturing, QC, and the quality organization. This position contributes to plant validation activities including equipment/process validation, risk/design and change control alignment with global quality systems.

Responsibilities

• Execute tasks as required to implement the Validation Master Plan
• Collaborate with external engineering and QC departments on new installations, system modifications, and decommissioning
• Draft and execute validation plans and validation protocols in compliance with cGMP practices
• Ensure investigations of validation failures are completed thoroughly and documented accurately

Qualifications

• Minimum Qualifications:
  • Currently enrolled in university, pursuing a Bachelor’s in engineering or related field
  • Must be enrolled in school at the time of the Co-Op
  • Must commit to a 6-month program at AbbVie Bioresearch Center (ABC) in Worcester, MA (January – June)
  • Expected graduation date between December 2026 - June 2028
• Preferred Qualifications (Optional):
  • Major in chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, biomedical engineering a plus
  • Strong organization, attention to detail, communication, self-starter, time management
  • Equipment-based or instrumentation/installation project exposure a plus
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint
