Role Summary

Summer internship in Drug Product Development (DPD) at Bristol Myers Squibb. Ten weeks of guided research within a DPD Project Team, designed to provide valuable industry and functional experience, challenging assignments, and exposure to BMS. The program runs June 1, 2026 to August 7, 2026, and is located in New Brunswick, NJ.

Responsibilities

  • An orientation, including an overview of company structure, products and brands.
  • An introduction to the GPS and PD organizations.
  • Exposure to senior management and business leaders.
  • Hands-on trainings and experiences in pharmaceutical manufacturing process areas and testing laboratories.
  • Formal presentation at the end of your internship.
  • A mentor program.
  • Formal review and feedback sessions.

Qualifications

  • Required: Candidates must be currently enrolled in an accredited university program pursuing a PhD degree in biochemistry, biomedical engineering, chemical engineering, mechanical, industrial engineering, pharmaceutical sciences, or related areas.
  • Required: Candidates are expected to graduate between Fall 2026 and end of 2027.
  • Required: Must include GPA on resume for consideration (GPA of 3.0 or greater).
  • Required: Must have good oral/written communication skills and be able to work in a team environment.
  • Required: Ability to solve problems independently with minimal supervision.
  • Preferred: Research experiences on continuous manufacturing and general drug product manufacturing processes.
  • Required: All candidates must be authorized to work in the US both at the time of hire and for the duration of their employment. Immigration or visa sponsorship is not available for this position now or in the future.
