Role Summary

As a member of AbbVie's Clinical Trial Operations Development Program (CTODP), you will participate in two 12-month rotational assignments over two years. The rotations offer global exposure to Clinical Operations leadership and are crafted to help you develop exceptional functional and leadership capabilities. Members will build expertise, skills, and relationships essential for accelerated career progression within Clinical Operations. Rotations will be hosted in Clinical Data Strategy & Operations, Study Management Associate Organization, and Clinical Acceleration and Performance.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in two 12-month rotational assignments over two years across three areas: Clinical Data Strategy & Operations (CDSO), Study Management Associate Organization (SMAO), and Clinical Acceleration and Performance (CAP).
  • Clinical Data Strategy & Operations: oversee and execute the strategy around clinical data collection, management, integration, and utilization within AbbVie clinical trials, including data acquisition, quality assurance, governance, data architecture, and data analysis to support decision-making and regulatory submissions.
  • Study Management Associate Organization: support the Study Project Manager with planning, execution, and oversight of clinical studies, including protocol and informed consent development, study startup, operational logistics, vendor management, and regulatory compliance throughout the study lifecycle; collaborate with cross-functional partners to ensure studies are conducted efficiently and to quality expectations.
  • Clinical Acceleration and Performance: focus on improving the efficiency, quality, and speed of clinical trials by tackling challenges such as patient recruitment, site engagement, and trial efficiency through data science, technology, and clinical expertise; contribute to a culture of collaboration and innovation.

Qualifications

  • Required: Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in a STEM discipline with an emphasis on Science.
  • Required: Expected graduation date between December 2025 – June 2026.
  • Required: Must be willing to relocate to AbbVie's corporate headquarters in north suburban Chicago.
  • Preferred: Proven track record of teamwork, adaptability, innovation, and integrity.
  • Preferred: Excellent communication, leadership, project management skills, problem solving, analytical skills, and business mindset.
  • Preferred: Microsoft Excel or other database experience is a plus.
