Role Summary
A Co-Op role with Haleonβs OTC R&D team in New Product Formulation Development. This onsite program in Richmond, VA offers the opportunity to work with a market-leading pain-relief portfolio, collaborate with global experts, and contribute to innovative formulation work for over-the-counter medicines. Under supervision, you will apply data science methods, support product development, and help optimize product attributes and performance.
Responsibilities
- Work in a compliant manner to ensure the safety of yourself, others, and the protection of the environment
- Demonstrate excellence in the application and communication of statistical science in new product development
- Under the supervision of a senior staff, apply standard data science methods to solve analytical questions, including collecting data, cleaning data, and apply quantitative data science methods to predict product performance
- Develop new innovations for over-the-counter medicinal products
- Collaborate with analytical scientists to develop novel testing methods
- Optimization of product attributes and performance
- Optimize work process and procedures
- Conclude and communicate findings during tenure as co-op to stakeholders
Qualifications
- Required: Pursuing a BS or MS degree in Chemical, Pharmaceutical Science, Polymer sciences or related fields
- Preferred: A cumulative GPA of 3.0 is preferred
- Required: Ability to start in January 2026
- Required: Able to work full-time (35-40 hours/week) throughout the 6-month Co-Op cycle (January β June)
- Required: Provide your own funding for relocation and commuting
- Required: Onsite at Richmond, VA location
- Required: Must be eligible to work in the US at the time of, and for the duration of employment. Employees will be required to furnish evidence of US work authorization. Applicant must not require future sponsorship for an employment visa status
- Preferred: A working knowledge of pharmaceutical or cosmetics formulation design
