Position Summary
Zone Access Manager (ZAM), Market Access. Zone Access Managers serve as a dedicated point of contact for Ardelyx Area Business Directors (ABDs) and Care Coordinators within a defined geography, liaising with ABDs, HUB resources, nephrology practices, and dialysis organizations to optimize patient access and prescription pull-through for Ardelyx therapies.

Responsibilities
- Provide case management support across the patient access journey with internal stakeholders, third-party partners, and HCPs
- Collaborate with ABDs and Care Coordinators to identify members of the patientโ€™s healthcare team for the access process
- Educate HCPs, dialysis organizations, and office staff on patient assistance programs and train on approved web-based provider tools
- Serve as payer access expert; communicate coverage updates and policy changes
- Identify and communicate market access trends; partner cross-functionally for patient access solutions
- Maintain knowledge of market dynamics, coverage policies, and prior authorization requirements
- Adapt to evolving payer policies and patient access challenges
- Maintain and grow knowledge of HUB and specialty pharmacy channels
- Share insights on customer needs, access barriers, and payer opportunities
- Identify customer insights; analyze and disseminate data
- Partner with sales leadership and field sales to deliver patient services
- Execute activities per ethical, legal, and regulatory standards
- Conduct majority of engagements virtually; occasional in-person as needed

Qualifications
- Bachelorโ€™s degree + 5+ years field access or reimbursement management experience (biotechnology preferred)

Preferred/Required Skills
- Specialty pharmacy and health insurance knowledge (Medicare Part D, commercial, Medicaid)
- Understanding of eligibility, benefit verification, prior auth, reimbursement, appeals, financial assistance, copay support, bridge programs
- HCP office workflow knowledge; nephrology experience preferred
- Interpersonal, communication, and cross-functional influence skills
- Ability to deliver access presentations virtually or live
- Work well under pressure; self-motivated; attention to detail
- Verbal/written communication; Microsoft Office (Excel); Tableau or Power BI preferred
- Travel up to ~30%
