Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the Workday Time Tracking and Absence SME, owning configuration, maintenance, and optimization of time entry templates, time types, time blocks, eligibility rules; absence plans, accruals, carryover rules, balance caps, validations; work schedules, calendars, period schedules, and approval workflows.
- Partner with HR, Payroll, IT, and regional stakeholders to translate business and policy requirements into scalable Workday solutions.
- Lead end-to-end delivery of Time & Absence initiatives (requirements gathering, design, configuration, testing, deployment, hyper-care).
- Design, build, and maintain Workday Time & Absence reports and dashboards.
- Configure and maintain Business Processes, condition rules, notifications, and security for time and absence transactions.
- Ensure seamless integration with Payroll, downstream calculations, and reporting.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues (time entry, absence requests, approvals, balances, payroll impacts).
- Support global/regional rollouts, new country deployments, and regulatory/policy changes.
- Execute and support unit/integration/regression testing for configuration changes and Workday releases.
- Identify opportunities for process simplification, automation, and self-service.
- Review Workday release notes, assess impacts, and recommend feature adoption.
- Maintain configuration documentation, change control artifacts, and audit-ready records.
- Stay current with Workday updates; develop job aids and support materials.

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years relevant experience; OR Master’s degree and 6+ years; OR PhD and 2+ years.

Preferred Qualifications
- Degree in Information Systems/Business (or equivalent).
- 8+ years hands-on Workday HRIS experience with deep Time Tracking and Absence Management.
- Experience configuring complex Time & Absence rules, accruals, eligibility, approvals, and Payroll integrations.
- Experience with global/multi-country Workday environments.
- Strong understanding of Workday Business Process Framework, security roles, calculated fields, validations, and reporting.
- Experience leading/supporting full lifecycle Workday Time & Absence implementations/enhancements.
- Strong communication, analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills.

Compensation/Benefits (if applicable)
- Bay Area salary range: $146,540.00–$189,640.00; Raleigh: $126,565.00–$163,790.00. May be eligible for discretionary bonus/stock incentives, paid time off, and company-sponsored medical/dental/vision/life.
