The Women’s Health Clinical Account Specialist (WHCAS) supports customers by providing clinical information on company products, education, and clinical training support to help providers meet patients’ goals.
Responsibilities
- Deliver balanced product sales presentations aligning customer needs with product labeling and professional recommendations.
- Serve as a product expert; convey technical/clinical information clearly to encourage proper utilization.
- Understand and communicate the local managed care and reimbursement environment.
- Build/maintain customer partnerships; provide management updates on customer needs, feedback, marketplace dynamics, and progress to quality goals.
- Manage complex account interdependencies; develop short- and long-term account plans.
- Conduct routine product in-services and account business reviews.
- Monitor performance vs. objectives using company tools; identify competitive activity/market trends.
- Develop and execute territory/account business plans per policies/ethics; maintain product/ecosystem knowledge and certification.
- Complete administrative requirements accurately and on time.
Specifically (select accounts)
- Act as primary point of contact; understand practice structure, business model, key influencers, and patient needs; identify opportunities for relevant stakeholders.
- Support complex procurement channels (Buy and Bill, AOB, 340B) and knowledge of managed care/Medicaid/Kaiser/MSOs/GPOs/IPAs; be aware of ACA, family planning waivers/grants, federal/national policies, and religious exemptions.
- Coordinate with extended team on customer strategy for improved customer/patient support.
Qualifications & Skills (Required)
- BA/BS + 2–6 years sales OR 6+ years equivalent experience.
- Excellent interpersonal/communication skills.
- Ability to analyze metrics; work independently and in a team.
- Flexible, strong organization/time management.
- Valid driver’s license; travel as needed (territory-dependent); complete credentialing for in-person access.
Skills (Preferred)
- BA/BS + 6–8 years sales OR 10+ years equivalent with 4+ years in pharma/biotech/healthcare.
- Prior sales/account management/consultative/customer service experience; Buy and Bill experience; women’s health industry experience.
Territory
- Northern Illinois (Northern/Western Chicago suburbs, Rockford, NW Illinois); reside in territory. Reports to Regional Manager.
