Role Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated self-starter who will be responsible for supervising the daily operations of our warehouse facility, ensuring the accurate and timely storage, retrieval, and distribution of products. The position will be best suited for someone who enjoys a fast-paced environment and is eager to jump in no matter where they are needed.

Responsibilities

  • Team Supervision: Lead and motivate a team of warehouse staff, ensuring they are well-trained, productive, and safety conscious. This involves assigning tasks, setting priorities, and monitoring progress to ensure that work is completed efficiently and according to quality standards.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that all in-bound and out-bound materials are handled accurately in accordance to training. (DOT, Hazmat, IATA, etc.)
  • Process Improvement: Continuously identify opportunities to enhance warehouse processes, streamline workflows, and improve efficiency while maintaining product integrity.
  • Safety: Enforce safety protocols and best practices (DOT, Hazmat, IATA, etc.) to create a safe working environment for all warehouse personnel. Encouraged participation in the safety committee.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions, shipments, and compliance documentation to support audits and regulatory requirements.
  • Vendor Relations: Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery and resolve any supply chain issues.
  • Training: Provide training and guidance to warehouse staff.
  • Procurement: Monitor and maintain accurate levels of warehouse supplies.
  • Reporting: Generate and communicate regular reports on warehouse performance, inventory levels, and compliance metrics to team, management, and organization.
  • Act as backup to Material Manager.
  • Carry out other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 2+ years’ experience in a warehouse or logistics role is required.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to effectively manage time and prioritize all projects.
  • Must be comfortable using a computer, including but not limited to Outlook, Excel, Word.
  • Proficiency in using warehouse management systems (ERP) and inventory tracking software.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of quality and compliance.
  • Demonstrated writing and presentation skills.
