Role Summary
The Warehouse Supervisor oversees day-to-day warehouse operations at the Iovance Cell Therapy Center (iCTC) in Navy Yard, PA. They allocate resources to meet deadlines, monitor staff productivity, and adapt focus to urgent matters as needed. The role drives efficiencies, compliance, safety, and customer service standards, and recommends process improvements.
Responsibilities
- Schedule daily workloads to warehouse team members, ensuring staffing levels can achieve expected output for each workstream within defined timelines, and evaluate outputs against key performance indicators.
- Monitor the flow of goods to ensure orders are processed efficiently and accurately; advise management of gaps and implement resolution efforts to mitigate delays.
- Develop educational curriculum related to warehouse SOPs and train new hires or existing employees on relevant skills.
- Research inventory discrepancies, reconcile in the inventory management system, and recommend preventive measures to prevent variances.
- Lead continuous improvement efforts and lean six sigma projects to drive efficiency, productivity, quality, and safety.
- Monitor equipment and facilities condition; update procedures and work instructions to reflect improvements or corrective actions.
- Lead audit preparation and implement corrective actions based on audit findings.
- Assign warehouse cleaning duties and ensure waste disposal compliance.
- Coordinate technical training on SOPs and certifications (e.g., cGMP, HAZMAT, forklift).
- Adhere to safety, security procedures, and company policies.
- Contribute to a culture aligned with company values and ethics; comply with Safety SOPs, SDS, and OSHA regulations.
- Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Required: Minimum of 5 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 3 years with a Master's degree; or a PhD without experience; or equivalent work experience; strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- Required: Excellent organization and prioritization skills; ability to deliver results within established guidelines.
- Required: Adaptability to a fast-paced, small company environment with minimal direction and strong attention to detail.
- Required: Extensive walking and repetitive physical motion (squatting, bending, lifting, climbing ladders).
- Required: Ability to work well in a team setting.
- Required: Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook.
- Required: Ability to operate computers and warehouse management software (ERP/MES).
- Required: Valid driver's license.
- Required: Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime, weekends, and staggered shifts.
- Preferred: 7+ years of experience in a GMP warehouse setting or logistics experience operating material handling equipment.
- Preferred: Experience or certification in operating material handling equipment (e.g., forklift).
Education
- Bachelorโs degree in a related field is required for the base level; Masterโs degree or PhD with related experience may be considered, per the qualifications above.
Additional Requirements
- Physical demands: ability to stand/walk for long periods, perform heavy physical work (lifting up to 65 pounds), climb ladders/stairs/scaffolding, operate warehouse equipment (trucks and forklifts), and work in variable temperatures and noise levels.
