Warehouse Specialist (weekend shift)

Role Summary

Ensures the proper handling of raw materials and products in the warehouse, and continuously monitors and fulfills requests from production and other departments to support continuous manufacturing operations. Additional duties as assigned. This position is on-site in Morris Plains, NJ. Weekend shift: Friday–Monday 8:00am–6:30pm, with an additional shift differential.

Responsibilities

• Ensures proper handling of raw materials and products in the warehouse.
• Coordinates shipping, receiving, storage, and processing of goods (may include imports/exports).
• Maintains an unbossed mindset.
• Keeps warehouses orderly and audit-ready at all times.
• Loads and unloads trucks using industrial equipment.
• Inspects and verifies materials, labels and documents for completeness and accuracy.
• Transfers materials to proper storage areas based on temperature requirements.
• Moves materials with accuracy and in accordance with SOPs to ensure continuous production.
• Works in climate-controlled environments from refrigerated to freezer areas.
• Repalletizes a variety of materials and weights with 100% accuracy on labeling.
• Works well under pressure with minimal supervision.
• Shifts priorities and accomplishes a variety of tasks per shift.
• Performs daily cycle counts of materials based on classification.
• Keeps deliveries up to date and books them into the ERP system in a timely fashion.
• Maintains a self-motivated problem-solving mindset.
• Adapts and works in accordance with guidelines in a dynamic environment and owns decisions when needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Inventory accuracy (KPI).
• Knowledge of cGMP regulations and FDA guidance applicable to biologics and cell therapy manufacturing.
• On-time goods receipts.

Qualifications

• Supply chain/warehousing experience.
• ERP system experience (SAP/S4/etc.) strongly desired.
• Work in a warehouse environment, mostly standing and walking to complete tasks.
• Operation in pharma/regulated industries.
• Ability to work on problems.
• Adaptable to team environments and solo tasks.
• Forklift experience a plus.
