Role Summary

Warehouse Shipping Specialist - Life Sciences

Responsibilities

  • Prepare outgoing shipments, including picking, packaging, labeling, and loading items for transport.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records using electronic inventory management systems matched with hands on physical counts.
  • Coordinate with suppliers, carriers, and internal departments to resolve any discrepancies or issues with shipments.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and best practices in warehouse operations.
  • Assist in organizing and optimizing warehouse storage space for efficient inventory management.
  • Participate in periodic inventory counts and audits to monitor stock levels and track inventory movements.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet shipping deadlines and fulfill customer orders in a timely manner.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in logistics or supply chain management is a plus.

Skills

  • Familiarity with shipping and receiving procedures, inventory management, and handling medical equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in recording and tracking inventory data.
  • Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Experience

  • Experience using FedEx Ship Manager or fedEx.com is a plus.
  • Experience with an ERP system is a plus.

Physical Demands

  • Able to lift 25 LBs by themselves.
