Clinical Research and Development
Main Responsibilities
- Set strategic direction for Vaccines R&D project management by establishing best-in-class standards, governance, and AI/digital-enabled practices.
- Drive end-to-end portfolio execution (scope, schedule, cost, quality); monitor pipeline health; ensure timely escalation and corrective actions.
- Lead risk management and compliance across all New Vaccine projects, including proactive risk identification and internal audit readiness.
- Enable governance via transparent Stage Gate processes; act as TARC Secretary and liaison between Vaccine R&D and Corporate Portfolio Management.
- Lead and develop a global team of 15+ project managers (20+ total headcount; 4 direct reports).
- Oversee financial and resource planning; provide input to resources and cost forecasts; align R&D, Franchise, and Manufacturing & Supply.
Qualifications
- Bachelorβs degree required; masterβs or PhD in Life Sciences, Medicine, Pharmacy, Engineering, or equivalent preferred.
- PMP, Agile, or equivalent preferred.
- 10 years in pharmaceutical R&D project/program management required.
- 3 years people leadership experience required.
- Deep knowledge of end-to-end vaccine/pharma development value chain (Research β Clinical β Industrialization β Registration β Launch).
- Proven leadership in complex global matrix environments.
- PM methodologies expertise (PMBOK; Hybrid/Agile preferred).
- Proven risk management expertise.
- Business and financial management acumen; experience rolling out digital planning tools/AI solutions.

- Up to 20% travel required.
- English fluent (required); French fluent (preferred).
