Role: Translational Lead responsible for shaping and integrating research, translational science, and nonclinical development across Tonix's CNS and immunology pipeline. Objectives include guiding target validation, biomarker strategies, and development plans to advance programs from target identification through IND-enabling studies and into clinical development. Responsibilities encompass scientific leadership in drug discovery and nonclinical areas (small molecules, biologics, vaccines), overseeing GLP/non-GLP toxicology studies, biomarker development, regulator interactions, and CRO management. Qualifications: PhD, PharmD, DVM, or MD in pharmacology, toxicology, neuroscience, or related field; at least 15 years in pharma/biotech R&D with 5+ years in leadership roles. Preferred skills include success leading programs from target validation to IND, strong regulatory knowledge (pre-IND to BLA), and experience managing multidisciplinary teams and external vendors. High-Value: Focus on CNS disorders, immunology, and rare diseases; Phase 2 assets including monoclonal antibodies, biologics, and small molecules; involvement in global regulatory strategies, IND submissions, and M&A due diligence. Work Setup: travel ~20%, location flexible.
