Position Overview

Tonix is seeking a full-time VP, Market Access & Reimbursement to effectively develop the global market access and pricing strategies for Tonix’s portfolio. This position would be responsible for providing strategic leadership and direction for payer access, coverage, pricing, and reimbursement. This position would also be responsible for working cross-functionally across the organization. The VP, Market Access will support all aspects of this process including forming strategic account engagement plans, leading price negotiations, and developing market access value propositions. This is a fast-paced, challenging position that offers a competitive compensation and benefits package. This role is an exempt (salaried) position that will report directly to the EVP, Commercial and be based remotely.

Essential Duties

  • Develop and execute market access strategies to maximize product access and reimbursement
  • Build and manage the Market Access team, which includes trade, patient support and field.
  • Develop specific market segment pricing and contracting strategies
  • Lead government pricing team to ensure compliance with all federal/state regulations
  • Lead pricing and reimbursement negotiations with payers and government agencies
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including commercial, regulatory, and medical affairs teams, to align market access efforts with overall business objectives
  • Follow all established occupational health and safety procedures, good manufacturing practices (GMPs) and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Uphold company mission and values through accountability, innovation, integrity, quality, and teamwork
  • Perform ad-hoc work/special projects to support Tonix on various business initiatives

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains new team members
  • Oversees the daily workflow of the department
  • Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations
  • If necessary, handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy
  • Contributes to performance and compensation decisions such as: merit raises, bonuses, and promotions

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or science required (MBA preferred) + 15 years of pharmaceutical experience
  • 8 years' experience in US pharmaceutical Market Access
  • Experience in neuro and pain markets preferred
  • Proven track record of successfully launching and commercializing products in a competitive market environment
  • Experience in all aspects of market access (payer engagement, trade and distribution, government pricing, patient services, list price strategies, and provider reimbursement)
  • Ability for travel around 50% of the time
  • Dedicated team player who can withstand the high demands of a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential
  • Strong planning and organizational skills
  • Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision
  • Highly organized, results driven, problem solver, and collaborator
  • Demonstrated ability to perform the essential duties of the position with or without accommodation

Compensation & Benefits

Annualized base salary ranges from $250k to $350k plus target incentive; actual salaries will vary and may be above or below this range commensurate with several factors including experience, education, training, location, and merit.
