VP Legal Innovation & Transformation β€” Global Legal Organization (GLO) (New Brunswick, NJ)

Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute GLO work management strategy to focus on highest-value work and reduce low-value work.
- Create data-driven feedback loops and dashboards to inform work management.
- Deliver GLO services via a fit-for-purpose, strategically deployed global workforce; optimize roles, capacity, and cost.
- Design and oversee a global resource deployment model, including low-cost locations (India/Bogata).
- Develop and maintain metrics on GLO value delivered to the business.
- Reimagine end-to-end workflows to enable faster, more agile decision-making through accountability and technology integration.
- Standardize workflows, templates, and procedures.
- Oversee ad-hoc/timebound projects with consistent discipline.
- Develop and execute a legal technology roadmap; build business cases and implement solutions.
- Lead change management and adoption; track usage and uptake metrics.
- Build outside counsel management strategy (guidelines, performance management, feedback); scan for outsourcing opportunities and integrate lower-cost resources.
- Negotiate vendor rates and engagement terms; enable transparent visibility into external spend.
- Build, lead, and develop a global legal innovation & transformation team; manage hiring, performance, compensation, and career development.

Qualifications:
- JD with active U.S. state bar admission and/or MBA or master’s in business admin/finance/operations (preferred).
- 10+ years innovation/transformation; 5+ years operational/technology/law firm partnership and spend management at scale; in-house corporate legal experience strongly preferred.
- Significant budget management experience.
- Proven legal technology implementation and process improvement (including offshoring design/management).
- Strong AI/automation knowledge; ability to build operations from the ground up.
- Enterprise-scale project management experience.
- 5–10+ years managing teams globally.
- Stakeholder influence across an organization; experience in highly regulated corporate legal environments.
- Operational excellence/change management and project management training/certifications (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2, Agile/Scrum, Lean Six Sigma, PROSCI; or CLOC/ALOP).
