VP, Head of Preclinical Development

Role: Vice President, Head of Preclinical Development, responsible for leading global preclinical research for Legend Biotech's pipeline of cell therapies, including CAR-T, TCR-T, and NK cell platforms. Key responsibilities: define and execute preclinical strategies from candidate nomination through IND-enabling studies; serve as internal scientific authority on pharmacology and toxicology; oversee the integration of data to inform clinical development and regulatory submissions; lead and develop a high-performing team of scientists and CRO partnerships; ensure scientific and regulatory integrity in all deliverables. Requirements: PhD in pharmacology, toxicology, immunology, or related field; at least 15 years in preclinical drug development, with 5+ years in senior leadership managing IND-enabling programs; deep expertise in in vitro, in vivo pharmacology, and toxicology, particularly in cell and gene therapies; proven success in IND submissions and managing GLP toxicology studies; experience leading cross-functional teams and managing CRO relationships.
