Position Title: VP, Head of Development – Cardiovascular

Position Summary
- Accountable for end-to-end development of Cardiovascular programs, transitioning from First-In-Human through commercialization.
- Define the next chapter of Cardiovascular at BMS; build a differentiated, external competitive portfolio; expand the organization through external business development, partnership with Research, and capability building.

Key Responsibilities
- Set and execute the strategic direction for Cardiovascular assets across Early and Late Development, ensuring high-quality, on-time progression from First-in-Human to commercialization.
- Lead data-driven decision-making in governance forums across development programs and external opportunities.
- Own portfolio performance and delivery, including clinical, regulatory, and program milestones.
- Lead and inspire Clinical Leaders, Clinical Scientists, and Global Program Leads with clear accountability for asset strategy and execution.
- Ensure cross-functional execution and alignment across Development and key enterprise partners.

Qualifications & Experience
- Physician (MD, MD/PhD).
- Extensive experience across early and late drug development.
- Proven leadership managing large organizations and matrix teams.
- 15+ years in drug development (clinical trial design through submission/approval); additional Health Authority and/or academic experience preferred.
- Significant Cardiovascular experience (disease mechanisms, treatment modalities, emerging trends) and expertise across areas such as clinical, regulatory, project planning/management, medical.
- Demonstrated industry thought leadership.
- Exceptional team management and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to convey complex scientific/clinical information to diverse audiences.

Compensation & Benefits (as stated)
- $383,210–$464,355 (plus potential incentive cash/stock if eligible).
