Role: Vice President, Global Rare Disease Franchise, responsible for strategic leadership and commercialization of REGENXBIO’s rare disease portfolio, including RGX-202. Objectives include driving business performance, P&L management, and franchise growth within the gene therapy space targeting rare and retinal diseases. Responsibilities encompass developing franchise strategy, overseeing launch plans, managing revenue and demand generation, and aligning cross-functional teams across R&D, Medical, Market Access, and Finance. The role involves global strategic planning, investment prioritization, and external leadership in rare disease communities. Qualifications: Ph.D., MBA, or MS; 15+ years in biotech/pharma commercial leadership, with proven success in product launches, franchise strategy, and cross-functional influence. Preferred experience includes rare disease commercialization, gene therapy, biologics, and complex specialty therapies, as well as pipeline and portfolio decision-making. The candidate must demonstrate strong business acumen, organizational development skills, and the ability to operate in ambiguous, high-growth environments. Travel as required. High-value biopharma specifics: gene therapy, rare diseases, retinal indications, product launch, lifecycle management, and cross-functional leadership across global markets.
