Role: Vice President, Global Patient Safety Sciences (GPS) – General Medicine, serves as the primary safety strategy leader for clinical and post-marketing assets in the general medicine therapeutic area. Responsibilities include developing safety strategies, overseeing risk assessments, evaluating safety signals, and guiding benefit-risk analyses throughout product lifecycle. The role involves providing medical safety expertise for complex safety data, leading governance and cross-functional safety initiatives, and representing GPS in regulatory and external forums. Leadership duties encompass building and mentoring a high-performing safety team, talent development, and organizational leadership. Qualifications: 15+ years in pharmacovigilance or relevant clinical experience, with 8+ years of leadership in a matrixed global environment. Advanced understanding of product safety profiles, risk management, and safety science management required. Preferred: 5+ years of international pharma experience, advanced degrees (MD, PharmD, PA, MBA), and familiarity with AI applications in safety. The position demands strong communication, organizational, and strategic skills. Work setup: requires 4+ days onsite per week.
