Role: Virology (HIV) Regional Medical Scientific Director responsible for scientific engagement and strategic support within the New York region, covering Boroughs and Upstate NY. Responsibilities include establishing relationships with scientific leaders and investigators, facilitating scientific discussions on HIV disease states, epidemiology, and unmet medical needs, and supporting R&D and Medical Affairs strategies through scientific exchange and insights. The role involves developing territory plans, supporting investigator-initiated research, and representing R&D at scientific events. Qualifications: MD, PhD, DNP, PharmD, or DO with at least 3 years of clinical/research experience in Virology/HIV, and prior biotech/pharma industry experience preferred. Must demonstrate scientific excellence in HIV, possess strong communication skills, and be able to travel up to 50%, residing within the coverage region. Preferred: extensive HIV research or clinical expertise, established stakeholder relationships, and leadership capabilities. High-Value: focus on HIV prevention and treatment, late-stage clinical research, investigator engagement, and alignment with global Virology/HIV strategies. Work setup: remote with up to 50% travel; based in NY region.
