(Senior) Medical Science Liaison, NYC (Bronx/Yonkers)
Role responsibilities:
- Serve as primary field contact for medical/scientific inquiries in HIV treatment and prevention; provide advanced clinical/scientific knowledge to internal and external stakeholders.
- Identify/develop/maintain relationships with HCPs, researchers, and external experts; support scientific discussions, collaborations, and address emerging data, trials, barriers in patient journey, market dynamics, unmet needs, pipeline/product/disease education, adverse event capture, and medical insights across the product lifecycle.
- Gather and relay field insights to inform product development, clinical trial design, and market strategies; provide feedback on products/services.
- Develop and deliver scientific presentations/training for HCPs and internal teams; support educational materials.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines and company policies; maintain accurate interaction/outcome records.
- Mentor/coach other MSLs; lead scientific/strategic projects.
- Disseminate safety information to HCPs as directed by Medical Affairs/R&D.
- Support clinical development (including GSK and Investigator Sponsored Studies), assist site performance, and inform research interests.
- Attend national/regional scientific/medical meetings.
- Execute administration and CRM responsibilities (e.g., Veeva CRM, expense reports) in a timely manner.
Basic qualifications:
- MD/DO/PharmD/PhD/NP/PA
- 3+ years clinical experience in HIV
- Stakeholder management experience
- Valid Driver’s License
- Travel 40–60% (car and domestic plane)
Preferred qualifications:
- US HIV field medical experience; strong performance in Field-Based Medical Affairs
- Evidence-based medicine evaluation/communication; strong scientific communication & presentation skills
- Leadership and mentoring experience; effective one-on-one and group engagement.
Compensation/benefits (explicit):
- Base salary range (US): $168,750–$281,250; annual bonus; eligibility for long-term share incentive.
- Benefits: health/insurance, retirement, paid holidays/vacation, paid caregiver/parental and medical leave.
