Role Summary

Manager, Access Strategy and Marketing – HIV Prevention, reporting to the Director, Access Strategy – HIV Prevention. Responsible for the development and execution of business strategies and marketing tactics geared towards population-based decision makers to achieve and maintain ViiV HIV Prevention product access in the US. Design, development, and delivery of all payer customer-facing promotional and non-promotional customer engagement tactics. Based in Durham, NC (RTP Area) with a domestic relocation package available.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and optimize an integrated payer value proposition for population-based decision makers across the product lifecycle
  • Identify insights and understand the clinical, economic, and organizational value elements that align to payer decision criteria and motivations
  • Manage end-to-end development and implementation of branded and unbranded strategies, messaging, resources, and tools that support strategic account engagement and non-personal engagement
  • Train customer-facing teams (payer field team, field sales, field reimbursement, and trade) on market access topics for aligned products
  • Partner with brand team and matrix stakeholders to understand the competitive market access environment
  • Demonstrate interpersonal skills to lead, influence, and gain cross-functional alignment
  • Lead and manage agency and vendor relationships

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of US-based pharmaceutical industry experience in Market Access, Marketing, or Commercial
  • Experience in creating product messaging and developing tactics
  • Experience navigating Copy Approval (legal, regulatory, medical review) for tactics
  • Experience with commercial and public payer customers (PBMs, MCO, employer, Medicaid, Medicare) and payer dynamics including trends, economics, and public policy/government regulations
  • Experience working with and managing external agencies
  • Preferred: Graduate degree (e.g., MBA) or equivalent experience
  • Preferred: Experience in HIV therapeutic area or Market Access, strong business acumen, payer messaging and marketing insights
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to present complex information to diverse audiences
  • Strong interpersonal skills to develop trusted relationships and influence without direct authority
  • Demonstrated learning agility and ability to manage ambiguity and complexity
  • Ability to translate strategic direction into action plans and manage competing priorities
  • Knowledge of compliance and regulatory requirements of product promotion (e.g., FDAMA 114, pre-approval information exchange)
