Role Summary
The Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) Marketing Manager, HIV Long-Acting Injectable Treatment leads development and execution of key consumer marketing activities and digital solutions. The role requires a self-starter with a passion for marketing excellence to ensure patient-centered, innovative, and competitive campaigns. This position is based in Durham, NC (RTP Area) and eligible for a domestic relocation package.
Responsibilities
- Lead key direct-to-consumer marketing activities and digital execution, including development of branded campaign TV commercials and surround sound assets to achieve brand goals
- Understand People Living with HIV (PLHIV), the competitive landscape, and trends in the US market to contribute to strategic marketing campaigns and materials
- Assist in evolving the customer journey and content strategy to reach patients in moments that matter
- Foster collaborative relationships across brand and cross-functional teams; network and build alliances
- Manage projects through promotional review and the Copy Approval system
- Manage agency partners in creative development and execution of tactical plans; manage budgets, timelines, and ensure on-time delivery
- Build relationships with internal/external stakeholders grounded in trust and mutual respect
- Develop KPIs, track performance, and optimize marketing programs for maximum impact
- Lead internal cross-functional teams and partners to achieve maximum results and drive the business
Qualifications
- Required: Bachelorโs degree
- Required: 4+ years of US-based pharmaceutical industry experience in marketing or commercial roles
- Required: Experience working with and managing external agencies
- Required: Experience in creating product messaging and developing tactics
- Required: Experience navigating Copy Approval / MLR (PRT) process, PRM, CAM, promotional review
- Preferred: Graduate degree (e.g., MBA) or equivalent experience
- Preferred: Prior HIV market experience
- Preferred: Ability to work in a matrix team environment; knowledge of media planning across multiple channels
- Preferred: Strong project management and analytical skills; ability to work independently
- Preferred: Compliance acumen in the pharmaceutical space; excellent written/verbal communication and prioritization skills
- Preferred: Proven ability to navigate internal processes and manage multiple priorities to meet deadlines
