Role Summary

The Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) Marketing Manager, HIV Long-Acting Injectable Treatment leads development and execution of key consumer marketing activities and digital solutions. The role requires a self-starter with a passion for marketing excellence to ensure campaigns are patient-centered, innovative, and competitive. Based in Durham, NC (RTP Area) with domestic relocation eligibility.

Responsibilities

  • Lead direct-to-consumer marketing activities and digital execution, including development of branded campaign TV commercials and surround-sound assets.
  • Understand People Living with HIV (PLHIV), the competitive landscape, and US market trends to contribute to strategic marketing campaigns and materials.
  • Assist in evolving the customer journey and content strategy to reach patients in moments that matter.
  • Foster collaborative relationships across brand and cross-functional teams; build alliances.
  • Manage projects through promotional review and the Copy Approval system.
  • Manage agency partners in creative development and tactical plans; set budgets, timelines, and ensure on-time delivery.
  • Identify/build relationships with internal/external stakeholders grounded in trust and mutual respect.
  • Develop KPIs, track performance, and optimize marketing programs for maximum impact.
  • Lead internal cross-functional teams (Copy Approval, external partners, project teams) to achieve results that drive the business.

Qualifications

  • Required:
    • Bachelor’s degree
    • 4+ years of US-based pharmaceutical industry experience in marketing or commercial roles
    • Experience working with and managing external agencies
    • Experience creating product messaging and developing tactics
    • Experience navigating Copy Approval / MLR (PRT), PRM, CAM, and promotional review processes
  • Preferred:
    • Graduate degree (e.g., MBA) or equivalent experience
    • Prior HIV market experience
    • Ability to work effectively in a matrix team environment
    • Media planning knowledge across multiple channels
    • Strong project management and analytical skills
    • Ability to work independently with minimal direction
    • Creative problem-solving for unstructured situations
    • Compliance acumen in the pharmaceutical space
    • Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal influencing, and prioritization skills
    • Ability to navigate internal processes, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines
