Role Summary
The Director, Channel Excellence is a critical leadership role responsible for implementing and managing strategies that support the customer and patient experience with injectable medications. This role focuses on expanding patient access by optimizing processes and education, and improving patient experience, regardless of acquisition channel. The Director will liaise across internal teams and external partners to drive alignment, ensure operational efficiency, and deliver actionable insights to improve patient access outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support organizational goals related to access, and fulfillment for injectable products.
- Support the strategy for Specialty Pharmacies (SPs) and Alternate Sites of Care (ASOCs), and Hub services, ensuring alignment with patient access needs.
- Improve visibility and understanding of patient journey pathways across various access channels using both quantitative and qualitative customer insights
- Analyze channel utilization, and patient funnel data to monitor patient access, adherence, and fulfillment trends
- Equip field teams, including Sales, Field Reimbursement Managers (FRMs), and Channel Excellence Account Managers (CEAMs), with actionable insights regarding patient access, bottlenecks, and referral workflows
- Capture and incorporate field feedback to continuously refine channel strategies and improve operational effectiveness
- Create supporting marketing materials that support pull through of top priorities.
- Drive Hub, FRM, and SP partnerships for better overall patient experiences.
Qualifications
- Required: Bachelorโs degree & 10+ years of commercial experience in pharmaceuticals OR specialty pharmacy OR patient access
- Required: Experience developing and executing marketing or market access strategies within pharmaceuticals
- Required: Experience in data-driven decision-making and reporting
- Required: Leadership experience working cross-functionally with internal & external teams
- Required: Experience with reimbursement processes, specialty product referral workflows, and patient support programs
- Preferred: Advanced degree (MBA, MPH, or similar)
- Preferred: Experience in Direct to Patient or HCP marketing
- Preferred: HCP or patient level market research
