Position Summary
The Vaccines and Infectious Diseases Research Unit (VIDRU) Business Programs Strategy Director translates vision and priorities into coherent enterprise-wide programs, prioritizing and executing initiatives to deliver measurable business value.

Responsibilities
- Translate VIDRU vision into integrated programs delivering strategic outcomes and business value.
- Synthesize cross-functional inputs into enterprise-level recommendations.
- Partner with leaders to frame priorities, assess trade-offs, and manage portfolios; lead strategic planning cycles.
- Lead cross-functional matrix teams of senior leaders.
- Establish governance (steering committees, decision forums, cadence, standards).
- Use financial/operational/market data to inform choices and track performance.
- Develop strategic narratives/papers/presentations for leadership, executives, and Board-level audiences.
- Identify strategic risks/dependencies/issues across programs.
- Provide leadership/direction to direct reports and program/project teams; manage stakeholder relationships and communications.
- Monitor external trends/competitive moves/internal performance to propose adjustments.
- Coach and influence cross-functional teams; partner with Change Management and Delivery Directors to support transformation adoption.

Why You / Work Details
Hybrid role with regular on-site presence; based in the US or UK; reports to a senior VIDRU leader.

Basic Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Science, Engineering, or Business Administration/Management.
- 10+ years in consultancy/strategy teams or relevant leadership roles.
- Strategy definition experience for large-scale transformation in pharma/life sciences R&D.
- Experience leading functional and cross-functional matrix teams.
- Experience presenting strategic papers to senior leaders.

Preferred Qualifications
- MBA or PhD; strong business acumen, advanced analytics (financial modeling/scenario planning), change leadership, strategic frameworks knowledge.

Compensation/Benefits (if applicable)
Annual base salary (US): $170,775–$284,625; annual bonus; share-based long-term incentive; health/insurance, retirement, paid holidays, vacation, and paid caregiver/parental & medical leave.
